Parliament adjourns till noon over sugarcane price issue
November 19th, 2009 - 1:23 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Nov 19 (ANI): The winter session of parliament has been adjourned till noon today, due to opposition protests over sugarcane prices.
Earlier today, farmers from all parts of the country have begun congregating in the national capital in an attempt to stall proceedings in parliament in protest against high sugarcane prices.
Tens of thousands of farmers have gathered at the Ramlila ground and plan to march to Parliament. (ANI)
