Palin terms her anonymous Republican critics as cowardsNovember 8th, 2008 - 2:44 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, Nov 8 (ANI): Alaska Governor and John McCains running mate, Sarah Palins spokesperson has blasted the wave of anonymous post-election criticism coming from some members of McCains campaign team.
Palins allies are pushing back against a stream of accusations leaking out of John McCains campaign, and the Alaska Governor herself has called her critics cowardly.
Palin insisted that she never asked for the expensive wardrobe purchased for her use on the presidential campaign, Fox News reported.
I never asked for anything more than a Diet Dr. Pepper once in a while, Palin said as she returned to the Governors office.
Her comments came after McCain aides anonymously claimed that the Alaska governor was incompetent during the run-up to the election.
Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton on Friday called the charges sickening, and she denied the reports that there was tension between the vice presidential candidate and McCains staff.
They range from claims that Palin went on extensive spending sprees to accounts that campaign officials had serious doubts about her preparedness to be vice president.
Sources told FOX News, for instance, that Palin did not realize that Africa was a continent and not a country, and that she could not name the nations that had signed the North American Free Trade Agreement.
I consider it cowardly that they did not allow their names to be used, Palin said on Friday. (ANI)
