Pak’’s national flag creator, a forgotten hero
July 22nd, 2008 - 12:08 pm ICT by ANI Karachi, July 22 (ANI): Master Afzal Hussain Foundation Trust chairperson, Qamar Sultana has reportedly demanded of the Pakistan Government to remember the death anniversary of Master Afzal Hussain at a national level.
Master Afzal Hussain, who had died on July 16, 1987, had designed the Pakistan’’s national flag.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, Qamar Sultana said, “proud nations always remember their national heroes, but our government did not pay any attention to this hero, who designed the national flag.”
Demanding land for the trust, she said that the government had failed to recognize his services, The Daily Times reported. (ANI)
