Pakistani troops fire on Indian posts in Kashmir
February 17th, 2011 - 11:16 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Feb 17 (IANS) Violating the ceasefire, Pakistani troops opened fire at Indian positions from across the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday night, army sources said.According to the sources, Pakistani troops started firing at the Indian positions in Mendhar sector of Poonch.
Other details are awaited.
The incident came a day after Indian Army chief Gen. V.K. Singh concluded his two-day visit of the state and gave strict instructions for higher vigil on the LoC to check infiltration from Pakistani side.
