By Pinaki Das Agartala, Mar 1 (ANI): With the western border getting fenced and movement during winter becoming impossible due to snow in the Kashmir valley, the outlawed anti-India groups based in Pakistan are now trying to enter India through the comparatively easy porous border with Bangladesh, said Additional Director General (ADG) of Border Security Force (BSF), U K Bansal. Bansal said that there are intelligence reports that efforts are made by anti-national elements of all varieties including Muslim fundamentalist are trying to enter India from Bangladesh side. However, he added that it was not necessary the Muslim fundamentalist groups belonged to Bangladesh but the Bangladesh border was used by them. They belonged to other nations like Chechnya , East European countries, North Africa, Middle East and so on. Indian Intelligence agencies say that some insurgent groups in the northeastern region have links with Pakistan ’s Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) agency. The ADG took note of the security arrangement for the ensuing assembly elections of the remaining two northeastern states, Meghalaya and Nagaland, in which BSF will be deployed for ensuring a peaceful poll. Bansal said that the relation between the BSF and Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) has improved recently and there are some incidents when BDR has taken action on BSF inputs of presence of some Indian northeast region insurgent groups active in Bangladeshi territory.
