‘Pakistan handed over dossier on Mumbai terror attacks not Balochistan’

New Delhi, July 24 (ANI): Pakistan did not provide any dossier on Balochistan to India as news reports appearing in Pakistani media claimed.
The one-and-half page document handed over by Pakistani Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir to his Indian counterpart at Sharm Al Sheikh was report on action taken by Islamabad against the proclaimed offenders behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, according to high-level sources in the Foreign Ministry.
The document given by Pakistan included the photographs and bio data of proclaimed offenders, they added.
Pakistani media reported that dossier on Balochistan was given to Prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani by the Pakistani military establishment abd it was later forwarded to his Indian counterpart Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Pakistan has been blaming India for creating trouble in the restive province of Balochistan for more than a decade in order to divert attention from its internal problems.
Sources also told ANI that a so called dossier on Indian involvement in Balochistan was given to France, Britain and US in 2006 after the killing of Baloch Nationalist Nawab Bugti by the Pakistani Army, which was laughed off and ridiculed by the countries concerned for its content and information.
Sources say that the Pakistan Government’s silence on handing over of the so-called dossier to Dr. Singh is a ploy to keep the potboiling.
Baloch leaders are consistently saying that trouble in Pakistan is its own creation and it dates back to several decades when Khan of Kalat refused to sign accession to Pakistan.
Since then democratic as well as military regimes in Pakistan are targeting Balcohis. In fact, democratic and liberal face of Pakistani political landscape Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had also launched air attacks on Balochis.
Sources also said that no government and RAW officials have been arrested so far in Afghanistan where more than 4000 Indians are involved in large-scale reconstruction work.
Pakistan is involved in cross border terrorism even before India’s presence in Afghanistan. Sources said: “Pakistan has always used this blame game tactics to pursue terrorism as instrument of state policy.” (ANI)
