Pak officials under scanner following secret report on fake note distribution

New Delhi, Mar 5 (ANI): Officials in the Pakistan High Commissions in Dhaka and Kathmandu are being held responsible for not only manufacturing, but also distributing Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN), according to a secret government reports that claim to be based on a ‘million intelligence inputs’.

The government has for the first time put a figure to the value of FICN in “circulation” -Rs. 16,000 crore, and linked it to at least fifteen cases of terrorist funding.

The 65-page report categorically blames Pakistan for running what it calls a ’sophisticated business enterprise covering many countries’, The Indian Express reports.

The report lists 28 important ‘FICN network operator gangs’ from Bangkok, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, which are established in such a proficient manner that they could also be used for arranging hide-outs, for easy and secure communication channels to subversives and safe launch-pads for espionage agents.
