Over a dozen injured in Varanasi blast
December 7th, 2010 - 8:32 pm ICT by ANIVaranasi, Dec 7 (ANI): At least 18 to 20 persons are reported to have been injured in a blast at the Sheetla Ghat here on Tuesday evening.
Many foreigners are reported to have been injured in the explosion that took place during the ‘Ganga Arti’ ceremony.
Southern portion of Dashasvamedh Ghat is known as Sheetla Ghat. This is named after the famous Sheetla temple located on this Ghat.
