One stone pelter injured as police baton charge in Kashmir
August 25th, 2010 - 11:10 pm ICT by ANISrinagar, Aug.25 (ANI): One person was injured on Wednesday in police action, when a mob started pelting stones on the vehicles passing through Pampore area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
One of the vehicles was meant for the social welfare purposes, which also came under heavy stone pelting. The vehicle’s driver suffered some injuries.
Police used mild baton charge to chase away the stone pelters during which one person named Javed Ahmad Bhat was injured.
He was later admitted in the SMHS Hospital with shoulder and neck injuries.
His condition was reportedly stable till last reports arrived. (ANI)
