The gun battle started when the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police raided a LeT hideout in Baghla in Rajouri district about 200 km north of Jammu.
“The gunfight is on. We suspect that there are at least two to three more militants there,” a police officer told IANS.
This is the second major gunbattle in Kalakote area since Tuesday.
The militants are suspected to be infiltrators.
The Indian Army has stepped up its vigil along the Line of Control to thwart infiltration bids from Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
