One dead, nine injured in militants attack on Army convoy
August 11th, 2010 - 1:11 pm ICT by ANIRajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 11 (ANI): A woman was killed and around nine others, including two Army personnel, were injured, when a passenger bus was caught in a crossfire between Army personnel and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri District on Wednesday morning.
The militants were targeting the Army convoy and the bus, which was passing through at the time of the encounter, ended up taking some bullets. Militants perched on hill tops fired at the vehicle of a commanding officer of Rashtriya Rifles.
As per latest reports, the bus has been moved by the Army and the injured have been taken to a local hospital for treatment. (ANI)
