Islamabad, Oct 27 (ANI): PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, who was his partys front runner for the post of Prime Minister after February election and had once threatened to create a vertical split in the party, has reportedly turned his stance, saying that the ongoing economic and energy crises and the scourge of terrorism in the country was a conspiracy against the government.

I think some hidden forces are trying to destabilise the government, the Daily Times quoted him as telling a foreign news agency.

The government should normalise the situation and rid the people of the prevailing crises, he said.

Commenting on his recent meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari, Fahim said, Yes we had a marathon meeting for more than three hours, but it focused on the partys affairs and personal concerns.

Claiming that he was always friendly with Zardari, he said: a routine meeting is being misinterpreted by the press.

Fahim also clarified that he was not pursuing the office of senior minister or deputy prime minister in the expected cabinet expansion. I tell you no such thing has been discussed at all, he said. (ANI)
