NTPC bags Golden Peacock Award
September 30th, 2008 - 3:41 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) New Delhi, Sept 30 (ANI): The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) Limited has won the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for the year 2008.
The award was received by A.K. Rastogi, Company Secretary, NTPC in London from Dr. Ola Ulsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden and Chairman of the World Council for Corporate Governance.
C.B. Bhave, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) was also present on the occasion.
The Golden Peacock Global Award for corporate governance was instituted by the World Council for corporate governance in January 2001 to foster competitiveness among businesses to improve the quality of corporate governance. (ANI)
