New Delhi, Mar 14 (ANI): The seven day joint exercise of the Indian Air Force and the National Security Guards, Black Eagle, concluded successfully today at Manesar in Haryana.
India’s elite counter-terrorist force NSG and Garud of IAF exercised jointly to hone counter terrorists and hostage rescue skills.
The exercise will provide a new thrust in NSG’s preparedness and ability to combat terrorism or undertake a rescue mission in any form anywhere in the country.
Exercise Black Eagle is the first such teamwork between the two elite forces of the nation.
Air Chief Marshal F.H. Major and Jyoti Krishan Dutt, Director General of the NSG at Manesar jointly witnessed the exercise.
Both the officers expressed their satisfaction with the outcome of the exercise, which would serve in enhancing confidence and understanding between the two Forces.
The joint exercise was conducted over seven days from March 7 to 14. It covered various kinds of skills of shooting and techniques to enable precision surgical strikes against terrorists, hostile elements and rescue missions.
The emphasis was on ’swift deployment’ for which the teams used helicopters. The exercise has promoted mutual cooperation and understanding between the two elite commando forces. (ANI)
