London, Sept 6 (ANI): English stand up comedians Paddy McGuinness and Richard Herring are set to follow in the footsteps of David Beckham but not for selling briefs.
The funny men are nearly baring all in a bid to promote The Secret Policemans Ball in aid of Amnesty International at Londons Royal Albert Hall next month, with an Amnesty logo on the underpants instead of Armani.
The Secret Policeman’’s Balls is the collective name informally used to describe a long-running series of benefit shows staged in England to raise funds for the human rights organisation Amnesty International.
Bo Selectas Leigh Francis, a Briton comedian, will also be joining the duo.
Beckhams honed, six-pack ad for Emporio Armani in skin-tight briefs created a sensation in the glamour world.
I am not sure how this really helps the cause but its a good one and I am happy to oblige, the Daily Express quoted Herring, as saying.
As I said to the photographer, If me stripping down to my underwear releases just one political prisoner then its all been worth it.
I dont really mind showing off my body, though I do so out of a sense of how ridiculous it is rather than any kind of vanity. But I have appeared completely naked on stage and on TV before, he added. (ANI)
