No change in attitude of Pakistan towards infiltrating terrorists: Pillai
December 11th, 2009 - 11:05 pm ICT by ANIJammu, Dec 11(ANI): Union Home Secretary G.K. Pillai on Friday said that Pakistan has continued to encourage infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir from across the border.
Addressing the media in Jammu, Pillai said: “Infiltration continues and that is something which we have always said that there will be no change in the attitude of Pakistan towards infiltrating terrorists across the border.”
He further mentioned that the Kashmir issue could only be resolved through dialogue involving those concerned with the progress of the state.
“I think the dialogue must continue. I think everybody agrees that we can resolve problem only through dialogue and understanding of everybody’s position. The Home Minister has stated that…talk to everybody and that dialogue will continue,” Pillai added.
Security officials say Pakistan-based militant groups have stepped up efforts to push infiltrators into the valley and Poonch through the Line of Control (LoC) before winter snowfall blocks the mountain passes in the region. (ANI)
