Nepalese President to arrive in New Delhi on Monday

New Delhi, Feb 12(ANI): Nepalese President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will arrive in the national capital on Monday, as part of a four-day state visit to India.
This is the first visit of President Yadav to a foreign country after his election as President in July 2008.
His visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level interaction between the two countries.
During his state visit (February 15 to 18), the Nepalese President will attend the ceremonial reception at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tueday and will proceed to lay wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi’s samadhi at Rajghat.
Yadav will meet and hold meetings with President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna, Chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) Sushma Swaraj.
India and Nepal share a unique relationship of friendship and cooperation characterized by an open border and deep-rooted people-to-people contacts.
The visit of Nepal President will further strengthen the friendly ties that exist between the two countries. (ANI)
