Naxals kill one CRPF man in Jharkhand
December 2nd, 2009 - 1:09 pm ICT by ANIGiridih (Jharkhand), Dec 2 (ANI): Maoists triggered an IED (Improved Explosive Device) blast here today, killing a CRPF jawan.
The blast took place near Teliabahiyar village under Pirtand police station of Giridih district, about 190 km from Ranchi, when the CRPF jawans were patrolling the area.
Earlier, Maoists had called for a poll boycott in Jharkhand.
Elaborate security arrangements, including air surveillance have been done to avoid Naxal attacks. Around 35,000 security personnel including paratroopers have also been deployed.
