Nawaz still learning politics from ZardariNovember 10th, 2008 - 2:42 pm ICT by ANI
Lahore, Nov 10 (ANI): Punjab province Governor Salmaan Taseer has reportedly said that that PML-N leader and former premier Nawaz Sharif was still learning politics from President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Governor said that he himself had been in prison in the Lahore Fort along with Nawaz Sharif, and that no one could teach him about politics.
Taking a dig at Nawaz while replying to a question, Taseer said that Nawazs English had improved during his stay abroad.
He said that the PPP-led federal coalition was now running smoothly. It was not easy to run a coalition government but things were now settling down in this regard, the Daily Times quoted him as saying.
The governments first priority was to ensure law and order, economic progress and the continuation of a democratic process in the country, he added.
He advised the agitating lawyers to give up their movement, as former president Pervez Musharraf was no more at the scene. There is no reason for lawyers to continue their movement, as it was launched to dislodge former president Pervez Musharrafs government and should be called off now that his government had ended, he said.
