Nagpur, Feb. 20 (ANI): Nagpur University students staged violent protest on Friday after five students belonging to a minority were reportedly denied admission to the institution. The students protested against the cancellation of admission by saying that these students were earlier granted admission. The protesters started the protest by shouting slogans against the college authorities, and went on a rampage damaging the property and college vehicles. The students demanded the authorities to restore the admission of the five students but their pleas went unheeded. Reports claim that the students subsequently joined hands with a youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and staged the violent protest. No causalities have been reported so far. (ANI)
