Kohima, Mar 10 (ANI): Rattle and Hum Music Society of Nagaland recently launched Music Vision 2020 to promote the Naga music and musicians in the country.
Established in 2005, the Rattle and Hum Music Society has initiated a program called ‘music vision 2010′.
“Our theme is folk, fusion and future. We want to use our music, use our life and use our resources in particular music to make this world a better place,” said Theja Meru, President of the Society.
First of its kind, the vision with a facility to record one’s song with the latest technology is trying to promote as well as to provide a platform to the Naga musicians to showcase their talents to the world outside.
For the first time, the musicians and singers of the State have come on one platform to seek recognition for their talents.
“Infact Nagas are naturally gifted in Music. But they are in need of a platform so that they can identify their talent, which can help them to promote themselves and also encourage them to go beyond the present stage of their musical carrier. I really appreciate this project,” said Kecha Seyie, Principal, Northeast Biblical Seminary, Nagaland.
With peace gaining ground in the State, youngsters want to explore the world and show to the people outside the reservoir of talents they have, an opportunity they missed for long due to militancy and separatist movement. (ANI)
