Mumbai airport to shut for six hours on Tuesday
October 27th, 2009 - 2:17 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Mumbai, Oct 27 (ANI): At least 12 flights have been cancelled and four rescheduled at Mumbai International Airport, due to six-hour runway closure starting today.
The intersection will be shut every Tuesday from 12 noon to six pm till the repairs get over.
Around 100 odd flights, both domestic and international, are likely to get affected due to the construction work. However, the short runway will remain functional for smaller aircrafts.
Jet Airways & JetLite have decided to reschedule flights to and from Mumbai on Tuesdays.
Kingfisher that operates 31 domestic flights out of and into Mumbai has either changed flight timings or flight numbers.
The runway was earlier closed in 2003 due to similar work. (ANI)
