Lucknow/Varanasi, Nov 25 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday visited the Friday’s blasts’ site in Lucknow and blamed the incumbent Government in the State for adopting lax approach towards security.
“The responsibility of the blast lies completely on the State government. They said it’s the failure of the Centre, but it is a lie. This is not political issue, but the issue of country’s safety, and it is state government and its officials to be blamed for that,” said Yadav, who was accompanied with his party’s General Secretary Amar Singh and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala at the blast site.
Multiple blasts almost took place almost simultaneously in the three cities of Lucknow, Faizabad and Varanasi on Friday killing at least 15 people and injuring 80 others.
All the blasts took place in and around court premises and most of the casualties were lawyers.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal today said in Kanpur that the State Government was alerted by the Central intelligence agencies about the possible terror attacks in the State.
UP Chief Minister Mayawati had earlier blamed the Centre for not providing them with any information about the impending blast.
The Special Task Force, which is carrying out the investigation in the Friday’s blast, have reportedly found traces of RDX at the blast site.
Forensic teams are analysing the samples, and they have reportedly found similarities with the Malegaon blast, Hyderabad blast and the Samjhauta Express blast.
In Malegaon blasts also, cycles were bought from nearby shops and crude bombs were placed on it. The e-mails that were sent to various news organisation minutes before the Friday’s blasts in UP claiming responsibility for the blasts, however state that the group responsible for the blast had no role to play in the Malegaon, Hyderabad and Samjhauta Express blasts where victims were mostly Muslims.
