The website aims to bridge the information gap on Indian business and economy by overcoming the language barrier, which has been often cited amongst the foremost reasons standing in the way of tapping the expected business potential between India and Russia.

The IBEF website in the Russian language was launched at the India Business Association platform by the Minister for External Affairs in Moscow. The website is the first step towards connecting with the Russian business and industry.

Since its inception, IBEF has engaged with business in markets of importance from India’s trade and commerce perspective. Beginning with the India Everywhere campaign launched in Davos in January 2006, IBEF has now graduated to its second stage Experience India business strategy to showcase India’s Talent, Markets, Growth and Opportunity. IBEF has been working with a network of stakeholders - domestic and international - to promote the Fastest Growing Free Market Democracy globally.

Amongst the markets identified by the IBEF for a focused market campaign over the course of the next few years, Russia occupies prime position. IBEF has since also been publishing its bimonthly business magazine, India Now, a perspective, in the Russian language, which can also be accessed on the website in the Russian language. (ANI)
