Most Pak leaders to celebrate Eid abroad

Lahore, Dec.9 (ANI): Amidst rising political tensions with India, most of Pakistans top leaders are celebrating Eid-ul- Azha abroad.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the only one to celebrate Eid with his family in Pakistan at Jati Umera, Raiwind
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who already stays abroad, is in New York to receive the United Nations Award for Human Rights for his mother, Benazir Bhutto. He is accompanied by PPP general-secretary Jehangir Badr.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is in England to address the convocation of Bradford University and will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha there. Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif is in London for treatment. However, sources said he is expected to return and might attend Eid celebrations with his family. Similarly, Punjab Governor Salman Taseer is also abroad and will not be able to celebrate Eid in Pakistan. Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, is in England on a self-imposed exile.He will not be celebrating Eid in his home land.
However, political leaders present in the country have turned up to their respective hometowns to celebrate the festival with their families.
PML-N president of Punjab region, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa is expected to celebrate Eid in Lahore.
Pakistan Muslin League Quaid-e-Azam(PML-Q) leaders, including party president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, will celebrate Eid in Gujrat, their hometown.
Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is expected tocelebrate Eid in Rawalpindi.
Three main provincial figures from Punjab, including Minister for Law Punjab Rana Sanaullah Khan, Senior Minister Punjab Raja Riaz Ahmed and opposition leader in Punjab assembly Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan, will celebrate Eid in Faisalabad, their hometown.
President PPP Punjab Rana Aftab, a native of Faisalabad, will celebrate Eid in Islamabad. He is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari here. (ANI)
