Monday blues come long before Sunday is over

October 5th, 2008 - 3:04 pm ICT by ANI -

London, Oct 5 (ANI): Weekend officially ends at 7.30pm on a Sunday, according to a new poll.

The survey of 2,000 Britons found that as the Sunday evening approaches, thoughts turn to worrying about the week ahead.

For 39 per cent of people, Sunday evenings are spent catching up on emails in preparation for the dreaded Monday morning, while one in 10 works all day from home.

A whopping 72 per cent of those polled spend up to four hours doing chores on a Sunday, which includes 31 per cent attempting to get through the laundry, 24 per cent cleaning the kitchen and 14 per cent changing the bed.

The poll by Indesit revealed that most of us get the Monday morning blues long before Sunday is over.

Britons find it increasingly difficult to unwind and enjoy their weekend from start to finish. While Saturday is enjoyed by most, Sunday is met with apprehension, as people try to forget about going to work the next day, the Daily Express quoted Ian Moverley, of Indesit, as saying. (ANI)
