Missing witness to terrorists related to Mumbai terror attacks back at home
January 14th, 2009 - 10:52 pm ICT by ANIMumbai, Jan.14 (ANI): The witness to the landing of terrorists ahead of the Mumbai terror attacks returned home in the early hours on Wednesday after being reported by a section of media to have gone missing since Sunday.
The witness Anita Uddaiya, a resident of Fishermen’’s Colony in Cuffe Parade, has come back to her house, said K. Venkatesam, Additional Commissioner of Police,
Uddaiya had seen the terrorists land in a rubber dinghy on the beach at the colony. She had enquired from the terrorists where they had come from. But she was told by the terrorists to mind her own business.
Police said that she returned home at around 1.30 a.m. From there she was later on taken to the local police station for recording of her statement.
Police, however, stated that it did not have any knowledge of her whereabouts since Sunday and she would be again called to the police station later in the day. (ANI)
