New Delhi, Dec 17 (ANI): Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor said here on Thursday the missing visa papers of one of two suspects of 26/11 attack have been found, while the papers of the other are being traced.
Speaking to reporters here Tharoor said: “The Home Ministry is looking after the matter. We are tracing the visa papers of David Headley.”
Commenting over the Indian agencies not getting access to question either Headley or Rana, Tharoor said: ” Don’t ask us, the issue is with Home Ministry.”
“After giving the visas, papers are filed and those are being traced. We have found Rana’s visa paper and Headley’s are being traced,” Tharoor added.
The Indian Consulate in Chicago had issued multi entry visas to Headley and Rana to travel to India.
Between 2006 and 2008, both these suspects made several trips to various cities in India.
In a charge sheet filed in a US court, the FBI has said Headley and Rana, knew the Mumbai attackers and were aware of their strike.
On Wednesday, missing visa papers of Pakistan-born Tahawwur Rana had been found in the Indian Consulate in Chicago. (ANI)
