Militants kill National Conference’s block president
December 19th, 2009 - 6:23 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Srinagar, Dec 19 (ANI): Unidentified militants reportedly killed National Conference Block President Mohammad Iqbal Dar on Saturday at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, around 32 kilometers from Srinagar.
Mohammad Iqbal Dar was National Conference’s block president for the last six months.
He had left for Ladoora to purchase wood, but he did not return after that, said Iqbal’s brother in law.
The awantipora police recovered Iqbal’s body today morning from the padoor nala, with his neck was cut by a sharp weapon added the brother-in-law of the victim.
The police and the security forces have launched a massive drive to find out the killers.
During the past one-week, this is the third killing in Kashmir.
Last week unidentified gunmen had shot down a girl in Shopian. (ANI)
