Dharamsala, Apr 10 (ANI): Three Tibetan brothers living in exile in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamsala town organized a music concert to spread the message of freedom of Tibet.

Jigme, Jamyang and Ingsel, who have named their band as JJI exile brothers, performed on Saturday different songs dedicated to the brave freedom fighters of Tibet in the show named ‘Freedom Concert’.

Jigme said they are using music as a weapon to spread awareness among people about the condition of Tibet.

“The show tonight that we are having is a freedom concert, so we dedicate this concert to all the prisoners inside Tibet, specially the prisoners inside Tibet and all the martyrs of Tibet, basically for free Tibet and also for peace,” said Jigme.

Scores of Tibetans and foreign tourists gathered to watch the concert.

“Actually it’s a live freedom concert, today we have organised live freedom concert. Through this concert we want to convey the message that Tibet will be free, it is free but it’s occupied by China,” said Phungchok, manager of the JJI band.

“As you see around, there are lots of foreigners here, so through this concert we hope that they are going to get this message, from hundred it should multiply to thousand and from thousand it should multiply to billions, so there for we have organised this concert,” he added.

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama has advocated ‘meaningful autonomy’ for Tibet from Dharamsala, where he has lived in exile since 1959. (ANI)
