Meet the dwarf hired by burglars to break in through small holes!July 23rd, 2008 - 5:44 pm ICT by ANI
London , July 23 (ANI): Standing at just three feet 11 inches, burglar Lee Kildare could literally have slipped under cops radars if he hadnt poked his head out of a broken door panel.
Prosecuting at Newcastle Magistrates” Court, Fiona Varley said that a security guard spotted the dwarf at 9pm on May 2 and informed the police.
“While the PC was liaising with the security guard, a male now known to be Lee Kildare poked his head through broken panel in the door. The defendant helped himself through the hole and was arrested, The Telegraph quoted her, as saying.
Michael Crowe, defending, said Kildare has a condition called achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism that had criminals recruiting him to help them plunder derelict houses of scrap metal.
“They encourage him to participate in this activity because, as a result of his size, he finds it easier to get into smaller places” he said.
Kildare was taken to Newcastle ‘’s Pilgrim Street police station after he was taken into custody.
This tiny resident of Road, Walker , Newcastle , and his accomplices would sell the stolen metal at Tyneside junk yards and share the profits.
He admitted non-dwelling house burglary and was given a 12-month community order with supervision and told to stick to a three-month curfew between 8pm and 7am. (ANI)
