London, July 14 (ANI): A Cheshire-based man was flooded with 287 letters from a bank, all arriving in the same post, confirming that his credit card had been cancelled.

Twenty-nine-year-old John Tiemens received the confirmations letters from Capital One after he cancelled his card to get a better rate with another bank, so that he could pay for his honeymoon with his fiancee Louise Marland.

“I hadn”t a clue what was going on. Then I picked up some of the letters and realised they were all identical. There were so many letters the postman had resorted to tying them in batches with elastic bands, the Mirror quoted John from Runcorn as saying.

“I feel sorry for the poor postman who had to deliver that lot. It was like having another street on his round,” he added.

A spokesman for Capital One apologised, and blamed a computer glitch at its Nottingham headquarters. (ANI)
