Mariah Carey had second thoughts before marrying Nick Cannon
October 21st, 2008 - 4:43 pm ICT by ANI Washington, Oct 21 (ANI): Mariah Carey has revealed that she had second thoughts before marrying singer Nick Cannon.
The 38-year-old pop star wed Cannon in the Bahamas in April (08) after a six-week whirlwind romance.
When asked what the reason behind the second thoughts, she said - their 10-year age gap.
However, the ”Touch My Body” said that she’’s convinced their love will be lasting, because her marriage to music mogul Tommy Mottola - 20 years her senior - was a “disaster”.
“You know what, I did. But he doesn”t act like it (younger) - he’’s really very intelligent,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
“He’’s a very business-minded person, but he’’s also a lot of fun so you don”t really think about those things. It is what it is.
“I”ve been with someone older and that could be a disaster or maybe you have to throw that side away and don”t think about it - think about who’’s right for you,” she added.
Carey and Mottola split in 1998 after five years of marriage. (ANI)
