Maradona to visit Kolkata

Kolkata, Nov.20 (ANI): Football crazy fans of Kolkata will finally see a dream come true. Former Argentine football star Diego Maradona is coming to the city to meet his fans next month.
It does not matter to them that he no longer plays football professionally, as scintillating skills with the ball arestill fresh in the memories of football lovers here.
It is more a matter of sentiment for Bengalis. His fans still remember his master play and none can forget the Hand of God goal that he scored in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final against England.
The city, which relives each of Maradonas strokes and kicks even today has made great arrangements for his welcome, starting with the launch of a music video in his honour.
Star playback Singer Babul Supriyo has lent his voice to the song in Bengali which extols Maradonas talent as an exceptional footballer. The song makes it clear that for the fans in Bengal, Maradona is the boss in football. The city claims to love Maradona more than people in his native Argentina!
Maradona will arrive here on December 5th midnight. During his stay in the city he would be felicitated by the local fans.
He is also scheduled to visit the headquarters of Mother Teresas Missionaries of Charity and will inaugurate a football academy. (ANI)
