Maoists hideout busted in Gaya
October 22nd, 2010 - 12:51 pm ICT by ANIGaya (Bihar), Oct 22 (ANI): A police search party in Bihar unearthed a Maoist hideout in Gaya district on Thursday.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition such as rifles, two carbides, 38 live bombs and 20 cartridges were seized from the spot.
Amit Lodha, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya said the ultras were planning to disrupt the assembly elections in the state.
“The police have been taking action against the Maoist ultras for the past few months. We have tightened our security measures for the polls. We have busted a Maoist camp in Zali village of the district,” Lodha added. (ANI)
