London, Apr.18 (ANI): Manchester United will pay 90-million pounds in wages to Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Michael Carrick.
According to The Sun, Brown and Carrick have followed Ferdinand by agreeing to contracts given to them by the club.
In the last week, Manchester United has committed itself to forking out 52 million pounds in wages.
Portuguese striker Ronaldo has already announced that he is ready to seal a five-year 150,000-pound-a-week deal this summer, taking the total figure to be spent by the club to 90 million pounds.
Twenty-six-year-old Carrick, who still has two years of his four-year deal left, is expected to get a weekly pay hike of 20,000 pounds. His weekly pay is set to rise from 50,000 to 70,000 pounds a week.
Defender Brown, 28, was poised to leave Old Trafford on a free with his contract up at the close of the campaign but talks this week have ended a season-long wrangle.
Brown was one of the lowest paid players on a basic of 30,000 per week plus 10,000 pounds for every game played. But he has clinched a four-year contract worth around 60,000 a week.
England ace Ferdinand, 29, has agreed to a new deal worth 120,000 pounds per week over four years. (ANI)
