He said Modi was selectively leaking communication to create a particular impression.Manohar also said the BCCI was not aware that any of Modi’s relatives had any stake in the IPL.
He said the BCCI would also file a case against Modi for allegedly misusing his authority to benefit relatives and for personal gain.
He further said that the IPL Governing Council meeting is the right platform to share the details about the franchisees due to legal implications.
According to television reports, Modi is said to have sent an e-mail to Manohar on April 14 in which he sought the permission of the BCCI to reveal the ownership details and clear all misgivings and doubts about how the IPL was being managed and monitored.
Manohar and at least four other BCCI executive members immediately shot down the proposal, saying that it would open a legal “Pandora’s Box” which the board might find difficult to counter on defend. (ANI)
