Manmohan Singh to address chief ministers on internal security

New Delhi, Jan 31 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will inaugurate the chief ministers conference on internal security here tomorrow.
The conference will review the security situation in the country and focus on other wide-ranging issues related to internal security, such as filling up of vacancies against the sanctioned strength of police forces.
It will also review the strengthening of counter-terrorism capabilities, strengthening of the intelligence wing, economic offences, implementation of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), police reforms, coastal security, border management and Left Wing Extremism (LWE).
A separate session will deal with LWE issues.
The conference would also review the action taken on the recommendations of the last Chief Ministers’ conference held on February 7, 2010. (ANI)
