New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and discussed issues related with his forthcoming visit to China.
In his 30-minutes meeting with President Patil, Singh also discussed the issue of follow-up action on the report of the Delimitation Commission as well as reviewed recent national developments.
According to media reports, Singh and his counterpart Wen Jiabao are likely to call for actual negotiations on a regional trading arrangement.
Meanwhile, the Union Cabinet has given its approval for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and China for cooperation in the rail sector.
The Cabinet also approved the signing of MoU between both the countries for cooperation in the field of geosciences, development of their respective traditional medicine, land resource management, land administration, resettlement and rehabilitation and housing sector.
The MoUs will be signed during the Singhs visit to China. (ANI)
