Manmohan Singh hosts dinner for Gilani at Mohali

Mohali, Mar. 30 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, hosted dinner for his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani midway through the high-voltage India-Pakistan World Cup semi final clash at Mohali on Wednesday.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar were also present during the dinner that was hosted at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium complex.
The dishes served at Wednesday’s dinner reportedly included some spicy fare, including Gosht Barra, Tawa Ki Machhi, Tandoori Salmon and Chops Biryani.
The list of dishes for vegetarians included Shahi Idlis, Subz Biryani, Bhindi Naintara and much more.
The desserts included a mouth-watering Gulukand Ka Kalakand and Kesari Phirni.
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, who is on a frugal diet on health grounds, had reportedly opted for low-oil food — spinach and dal. (ANI)
