Malkangiri court rejects bail application of Maoist Srinivasalu
February 28th, 2011 - 10:03 pm ICT by ANIMalkangiri (Orissa), Feb 28 (ANI): A local court here on Monday rejected the bail application of Maoist Sriramulu Srinivasalu, one of the ultras whose release had been demanded by the abductors of Malkangiri District Collector R Vineel Krishna.
Additional District Judge M S Dhal rejected his bail plea. Srinivasalu was granted bail by a fast track court a week ago in connection with another case.
S Srinivasulu, former chief of Revolutionary Writers Association in Andhra Pradesh, was arrested in July 2007 from Bariguda forest in Kalimela area of Malkangiri district.
Malkangiri District Collector R Vineel Krishna, who was abducted by the Maoists on February 16, was released on February 24 after a nine-day hostage drama. (ANI)
