Kuala Lumpur, May 26 (ANI): The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) is looking at the option of cyberspace to re-brand itself.
MIC president S. Samy Vellu said the party would be using the Internet more widely from now on to reach out to professionals and youths.
He was speaking before opening the Perak MIC convention here on Sunday.
Vellu said the majority of leaders at division and branch level were unable to do so, and that the MIC would teach those who were willing to learn.
Soon, we will be launching our own portal which would allow the people to make complaints and take part in discussions. We will also make it compulsory for each state committee to have its own website and to update it daily, The Star quoted him, as saying.
He said the MIC would spend RM 400,000 to equip some 160 MIC divisions with computers and other equipment for communicating with the party headquarters. (ANI)
