Major General Nair becomes Judge Advocate General of Army
April 30th, 2010 - 7:39 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr 30 (ANI): Major General CS Nair has been appointed as the 14th Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Indian Army and will take charge on May 1.
A post-graduate in English, Major General Nair was commissioned to the Army Education Corps (AEC) in Dec 1978.
An alumnus of the Kerala Law Academy (1973-76), he had practised as a lawyer in the High Court of Kerala before joining IMA, Dehradun for pre- commission training.
He was transferred to the JAG’s Dept in 1980 and was the Chief Instructor and Dy Commandant of Institute of Military Law, Kamptee.
He also holds a LLM Degree in International Law from the University of Kerala. (ANI)
