Madhes based parties says will not to be part of next govt

Kathmandu, May 6 (ANI): Leader of various Madhes based parties, which have established themselves as substantial figures in Nepals political scenario after the April 10 Constituent Assembly (CA) polls on Tuesday said that they will not take part in the formation of the next government.
The leaders also said that the next government should be formed under the leadership of Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M).
Speaking at a programme organised by Reporters Club, Madhesi Peoples Rights Forum (MPRF) Chairman Upendra Yadav said that the Maoists should take the initiative in the formation of the next government.
He also stressed on the need to amend the constitutional act that requires two third majority of the CA to dissolve prime-ministerial system of government.
Yadav said that Maoist Chairman Prachanda should resign from the post of Supreme Commander of the Peoples Liberation Army before the former rebels join the government.
Nepal Sadhbhwana PartyMahato faction (NSP-M) chairman Rajendra Mahato stressed that the Maoists should lead the next government and that his party will focus only in the drafting of a new constitution.
The CA polls were held to draft a new constitution and formation of the next government is just a secondary objective of the April 10 polls, Kantipur quoted Mahato, as saying.
Terai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Hridayesh Tripathi said that his party will not be a part of the next government under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, speaking at the programme, CPN-Maoist leader Dev Gurung said that presidential system of governance will not be impose directly in the country and added that Prachanda will lead the next government as the Prime Minister bestowed with the powers of the head of state. Gurung also informed that the next government will be formed by the end of May. (ANI)
