Washington, Jun 23 (ANI): Pop princess Britney Spears’ teenage sister Jamie Lynn decided to name her daughter Maddie Briann, after reading a series of the Madeline children’s books, according to reports.

She and her 19-year-old fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed their first child into the world on Thursday (19Jun08) at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi, weighing seven pounds, 11 ounces (3.5 kilograms).

The 17-year-old mom was, according to the New York Daily News, fascinated with the Ludwig Bemelman classics.

“Jamie was a huge fan of the Madeline children’s books when she was a little girl and always wanted to name her daughter that,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.

The young mom and dad had gotten engaged in March (08), and they had been delaying the marriage in order to await their babys birth. (ANI)
