Lucknow, June 11 (ANI): Belying the popular sayingit takes two hands to clap–a university student in Lucknow has developed a unique talent for clapping by just one hand!
Believe it or not, Raza Hussain, who is pursuing Bachelors degree in Arts at Lucknows G.F. College, has unique dexterous wrists on both the hands, which enable him to let the fingers tap the forearm for a loud clapping effect.
He wants his ability to be endorsed by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Raza practiced for six years to develop this talent after being challenged by his uncle for that. He has never suffered from any problem in his wrist joints or hand.
“I want to take this art far and wide and want to showcase it on. I do not have any problems clapping with one hand and I feel the same like before,” said Raza Hussain.
Meanwhile, orthopedics suggest a wrist needs to have 90 degrees movement when it touches forearm, which produces the sound of a clap. The continuous whipping of the hand back and forth produces a sound, which with the right flexibility of the wrist and practice can be attained.
“This man who is shown needs to have 90 degrees of flexibility of his wrist joint and it can reach to 100 degree if you move it further. When the wrist moves it shows the hyper flexibility of the wrist joint and when it touches the forearm a sound is produced which is like clapping with one hand. There are two reasons which is hyper flexibility and the other one is regular practice which he has developed a lot,” said Dr. Rakesh Dixit, an Orthopaedic specialist.
Raza’s friends express happiness on watching him owning such an unusual talent and wish to see it be recorded as an extraordinary feat in the record books. (ANI)
