Low intensity quake jolts Kashmir
May 30th, 2011 - 2:22 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, May 30 (IANS) A low intensity tremor jolted the Kashmir Valley Monday although no damage to life or property was reported.
Local official Amir Ali said the earthquake, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, occurred in the valley at 9.15 a.m. “The epicentre was in Pakistan,” he said.
Moderate to low intensity earthquakes have occurred at least six times in the valley in the last one month.
