New York, Sept 23 (ANI): She may be rumoured to have lesbian leanings, but when Lindsay Lohans DJ girlfriend was asked to do her bit in a gay club, her answer was a firm No.

Landmark lesbian watering hole and restaurant, Rubyfruit in the West Village, had recently asked Ronson to deejay there for one night, but they were flatly refused.

Rubyfruits resident spinner, Stacy “Deejay Stacy” Ledwith, claimed that Ronson refused saying that she doesnt play music in lesbian bars and clubs.

“The owner, Debra Fiero, said how great it would be if Sam Ronson deejayed there one night,” the New York Post quoted Ledwith, as saying.

Ledwith added: “At first, her agent said it was 8,000 dollars for the night plus airfare and hotel. Then, he was informed it was a gay and lesbian bar, we were told she doesn”t do those kind of venues.

She doesn”t do gay and lesbian bars and clubs. I thought it was kind of strange considering she’’s a lesbian. It would have been really great to have her in there and help . . . It’’s really like betraying her sisters. It just doesn”t make sense.”

However, Brandon Phelps, a spokesman for Ronson, insisted that the claims were completely baseless.

“It is not true. I can tell you that I am the only one that runs her calendar and was never approached by Rubyfruit, he said.

Ledwith thinks Ronson should chill out, saying: “In our day and age, being gay or lesbian is so accepted. It doesn”t make any sense whatsoever to not work with your own people.” (ANI)
