Telangana Hyderabad, Feb.21 (ANI): Proceedings in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly were adjourned as again on Monday with lawmakers continuing their protest over forming of a separate Telangana state and on revoking the suspension of five of the members.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) members demanded the creation of a separate Telangana state. They also called for the suspension of five MLA’s to be revoked immediately.

Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar had to adjourn the House thrice as eleven Congress MLAs rose from their seats holding banners and demanded that the government immediately release funds for the reimbursement of tuition fees of students pursuing professional courses. Three Congress MLAs from Telangana stood up to support the formation of a separate state.

On Friday, three TRS and two TDP MLAs were suspended from attending House proceedings for a week for sloganeering during the Governor’s address on the opening day of the Budget session.

Leader of Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu, urged Deputy Speaker Manohar to revoke the suspension of the MLAs.

“You should have at least heard the MLAs before suspending them. You should have shown restraint,” Chandrababu told Manohar.
