Patna, Nov 13 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday condemned the insulting remarks made by former Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief K. S. Sudarshan against Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Lalu Yadav, while addressing the media persons at his residence here today on the occasion of the Hindu festival of Chhath Puja said Sudarshan should apologize to the nation for his anti-Sonia Gandhi remarks.
“The remarks given are very dirty. Such dirty people have no right to stay in the country. Usage of words like ‘illegitimate child’ in reference to Mrs. Sonia and false accusations, such a comment is like murderous attack. He should apologize to the entire country. By insulting Sonia Gandhi or anybody else, Sudarshan has crossed all limits,” he said.
Sudarshan had called Gandhi a ‘CIA agent’ and accused her of plotting the assassinations of her husband and mother-in-law, former Prime Ministers Rajiv and Indira Gandhi.
“Sudarshan should be thrown inside a dustbin for giving such remarks. He has no right to stay in RSS which itself is a fascist power and they are always involved in incidents of character assassination. Sonia Gandhi is a woman and a noble lady. I condemn the remarks against her and expect an apology,” he added.
The RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had earlier on Thursday distanced themselves from Sudarshan’s remarks. (ANI)
